La muerte del animal fue inmediata. En pocos minutos el animal mostr\u00f3 signos de haber ingerido alg\u00fan producto altamente letal. Fue trasladado a una cl\u00ednica veterinaria donde nada pudieron hacer por salvarlo. El animal fue enterrado por sus due\u00f1os, pero finalmente han decidido investigar las causas reales que han provocado la muerte del animal, para lo que se pusieron en contacto con el STVF-UM. El Director del servicio (Prof. Antonio J. Garc\u00eda) y una de sus colaboradoras se desplazaron al lugar donde fue enterrado el animal y procedieron a la exhumaci\u00f3n del cad\u00e1ver.
