Our colleague, Jos\u00e9 V. Tarazona, <a href=\"https:\/\/ipchem.jrc.ec.europa.eu\/\">Head of the Unit of Pesticide from EFSA<\/a> (in the middle of the photo), was our special guess. Rafael Mateo is the Local Organizer (in Ciudad Real), and Antonio Juan is the Grant Holder of the Cost Action. A very nice experience!!<\/p>\n<p>Sesenta investigadores procedentes de 24 pa\u00edses estamos reunidos, desde ayer por la tarde y hasta el jueves en Ciudad Real. El motivo: Coordinar esfuerzos para monitorizar los contaminantes ambientales en Europa a trav\u00e9s del estudio en las rapaces. Las rapaces son utilizadas como CENTINELAS para ayudar a la evaluaci\u00f3n de los riesgos asociados con compuestos t\u00f3xicos, persistentes y bioacumulativos. Este es el objetivo b\u00e1sico y fundamental de <em><strong>ERBFacility<\/strong><\/em>, heredero de <strong><em>EURAPMON<\/em><\/strong>, pero con mejoras.<\/p>\n<p>Los contaminantes ambientales suponen un coste para las arcas p\u00fablicas de billones de euros en costes derivados de la salud humana y animal.<\/p>\n<p>Este primer workshop, al que seguir\u00e1n muchos m\u00e1s durante los pr\u00f3ximos cuatro a\u00f1os se est\u00e1 celebrando en el IREC (Ciudad Real), organizado por nuestro colega y mejor cient\u00edfico\/investigador, <em><strong>Rafael Mateo Soria<\/strong><\/em>.
